We created Cont·Ray to offer our clients a Content-Management-System (CMS) that meets their expectations to a CMS. There should be no restrictions concerning the design of the web pages, it should be open for individual modifications (i.e. available source code and plug in ability) and it should not only create the content but also the navigation automatically and dynamically. The content had to be completely separated from the layout to make it possible to change the design of the site without much effort and to make sure that users not familiar with HTML can also keep the site up to date easily. The system had to work smooth even on web servers with a low performance and it had to be easy to install and maintain.
