Merchant Empires is a PHP/Python/PostgreSQL-based multiplayer, web-based game of space exploration and economic competition. It is a game of strategy, role-playing, combat, and diplomacy. Merchant Empires is loosely based on both Trade Wars and Space Merchant.

I've been playing for 3 years now and I still find new things to do. This game creates a real community. With the alliances forming political and social groups. Do give it a try. and hey...if you get a game up and running...and need experienced testers....just log onto irc.advancedpowers.com and ask...I'm sure anyone there would love to help ;) may even find a couple people willing to help you code ;)"
